Get ready for some big-time Broadway entertainment, Orlando!

The biggest hits on the Great White Way are headed to Orlando as part of the just-announced Fairwinds Broadway in Orlando 2017-2018 season!

Broadway blockbusters School of Rock, Waitress and On Your Feet! will be part of the upcoming season. The lineup will also include The King and I, Love Never Dies, Something Rotten! and RENT. In addition, subscribers can choose to add highly-anticipated engagements of two favorites: The Book of Mormon and The Lion King.

THE KING AND I
September 12 - 17
Set in 1860’s Bangkok, the Lincoln Center Theater production of Rodgers + Hammerstein’s The King and I tells the story of the unconventional and tempestuous relationship that develops between the King of Siam and Anna Leonowens, a British schoolteacher whom the modernist King, in an imperialistic world, brings to Siam to teach his many wives and children. Directed by Bartlett Sher and winner of the 2015 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival, The King and I is "too beautiful to miss," according to New York Magazine.

In this new electrically-charged world, he has finally found a place for his music to soar. All that is missing is his love—Christine Daaé. Now one of the world’s finest sopranos, Christine is struggling in an ailing marriage to Raoul. So, it is with excitement she accepts an invitation to travel to New York and perform at a renowned opera house. Based on the hit film, this hilarious new musical follows Dewey Finn, a wannabe rock star posing as a substitute teacher who turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. This high-octane smash features 14 new songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber, all the original songs from the movie and musical theater’s first-ever kids rock band playing their instruments live on stage. A baking contest in a nearby county and the town's new doctor offers her a chance at a fresh start, while her fellow waitresses offer their own recipes for happiness. Brought to life by a groundbreaking all-female creative team, the irresistible new hit features original music and lyrics by six-time Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles, a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson and direction by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus.
